Minutes from Sunday, 14 September 2008

 

Meeting held at the parking lot of the DEC Skaneateles Boat Launch area

 

 

A short business meeting was held at the end of the Skaneateles Lake Bass Tournament for nominations for the year 2009 officers and to fill positions on the tournament committee.

 

Meeting called to order at 1445 hrs by President Tom Hudson, also present were Ron “V”, Evan Smith, Dick Hyde, Shawn Potlaski, Dave Donhauser, Tom Zedkick, Chad Acome, Secretary Paul Hudson, Treasurer Jack Loughery, Shawn Smith, Joe Volerio, Fran Doll, Tom Church, Brooks Wright, Guy Cromp, Webmaster Connell Raate, Mike O’hora, Chris Cartwright, Jack Wilson, Aaron Sheldon, John Musenga, Ryan Smith, John Nye.

 

Nominations for officers were called upon.  Dick Hyde made a motion that the current officers, (Tom Hudson, President; Jack Loughrey, Treasurer; Paul Hudson, Secretary; Connell Raate, Webmaster) stay on in the current capacity.  Evan Smith and Dave Donhauser second the motion.  Tom Hudson made a call for additional nominations with no replies.  Since there were 24 members in attendance and all were unanimous, the current officers will continue on in their current capacity into 2009.

 

Volunteers for Tournament Committee: President Tom Hudson then called upon the group present for volunteers to serve on the tournament committee.  There are currently two vacancies (Bill Kays and Lance Barnes stepped down).  Frank Doll stated that he would stay on and so therefore now becomes the tournament committee director.  Dave Donhauser, Guy Cromp, and Tom Church volunteered to serve on the committee.

 

Dick Hyde gave a short talk about possible having the annual dinner/awards banquet at a restaurant was discussed and also the request for members to secure door prizes and gifts was made mention.

 

A vote was taken on whether the group wanted the same boater/non boater for the two-day, classic that will be held in 2 weeks or would they rather have a different partner on each day.  A vote was taken, with 8 wanting the same partner and 16 wishing to have a different partner each day. 

 

Meeting adjourned at 1500 hrs.and prize money give out for the tournament.
